Mary Titus, a celebrated abstract painter based in Carmel, California, was born in Florida in 1950. She relocated to Carmel in 1983 and has since become a prominent figure in the local art community. A self-taught artist, Titus excels in various mediums, focusing mainly on large abstract and impressionistic paintings using acrylics and mixed media.
Her work has been featured in numerous prestigious solo exhibitions, including venues like the Alkozoma Hotel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and the Coast Gallery in Pebble Beach, California. Her art is collected globally, with pieces in the King’s Palace in Jeddah and other notable locations worldwide.
In addition to her painting career, Titus has made significant contributions as an art educator. She has taught at the Longboat Key Art Center in Florida and currently instructs private students, imparting her vast knowledge and techniques. Her diverse experiences include guest appearances on TV shows and participation in a scientific Alaskan expedition, illustrating wildlife interaction.
