In a strategic move to expand its influence and reach, the gallery relocated to the picturesque town of Carmel, California, where it has continued to flourish for another 25 years. This journey from the bustling streets of New York to the serene shores of Carmel encapsulates our commitment to blending diverse artistic expressions and environments.

OUR TEAM

Founder(s): Alik Elzafon and his wife Devorit have been the cornerstones of the gallery. Alik, with over 50 years of experience in the art world, brings an unrivaled depth of knowledge and passion to the gallery's operations.

Co-Owner: Omdev Elzafon, born into the art world, brings a blend of keen analytical insight and a deep respect for the gallery's legacy. He is dedicated to modernizing the gallery's approach while preserving his family's storied tradition. Omdev champions the inclusion of avant-garde and emerging artists, infusing a bold and innovative spirit into the gallery's approach. His willingness to take risks with art and push artists to their best exemplifies his commitment to evolving and enriching the artistic landscape.

Gallery Director: Charlie Bursch has a meticulous eye for perfection and an unnerving to identify the finest details in art curation. His dedication to excellence ensures that each curated piece not only meets but surpasses the high standards of The American Art Gallery.
