About the Artist

As a self-taught artist, Mary specializes in large-format abstract and impressionistic paintings, utilizing acrylics and mixed media. My passion for art extends to teaching, where I conduct workshops three times a year for both professional painters and beginners.

Education

Mary's artistic development was enhanced by studying under internationally renowned artists Valfred Thelin and Nicholas Reale. Mary is a recipient of the Hilton Leech Friends of the Arts and Sciences Scholarship and has completed Edward Betts' master watercolor class.

Professional Experience

• Instructor at Longboat Key Art Center and Hilton Leech, Florida.
• Private tutor for art techniques.
• Guest artist on various TV shows including PBS’ Four Artists in Carmel, California.
• Participated in a Scientific Alaskan Expedition (1982) as a Guest Artist, illustrating wildlife interaction.
• Invited by the Royal Family of Saudi Arabia to teach painting (1999).
• Produced a video series on painting techniques (1999).
• Featured in the National Directory of Who’s Who of Executives and Professionals (1996-1999).
• My paintings have been showcased in ABC's The Bachelor (2005) and I was listed in Who’s Who in America (2006).

Solo Exhibitions

Mary's work has been exhibited in numerous galleries worldwide, including the Alkozoma Hotel in Riyadh, Coast Gallery in Pebble Beach, Gateway Gallery in Carmel, The American Art Gallery in Carmel, and many more across the United States and Saudi Arabia.

Collections

Mary's artwork is collected internationally and featured in prestigious locations such as the King’s Palace in Jeddah, the Royal Family in Riyadh, and various corporate and private collections in the United States and Thailand.
